Happy Teachers' Day!!!
This post will be a colourful one because I have tons of photos.

Anyway, I have been stuck at home for the past few days for the flu bug has struck once again. How dreadful, isn't it? I wish I could have been patrolling the malls but alas shopping is definitely the last thing on my mind these days. Perhaps that can be the first thing I'll do when I fully recover.

Anyway, here's a belated Happy Teachers' Day to all the teachers out there. Hope your teachers' day was well-spent, unlike me, who spent the whole day in bed nursing my cough and flu.

Guess what? I won myself a $40 NTUC voucher at the lucky draw during the Teachers' Day dinner at Furama Riverfront. Well, the vouchers were way better than any other prizes that night. So I'm mightily pleased with it!

Haha, I won a toaster/mini grill for Ms Asean Glitters - the theme of the night. The toaster was a good present for my domestic helper who would be leaving us at the end of the month. My family already has a functional toaster so there's no point hoarding one more in the cupboard.

Well, here's some snapshot of the gifts and cards I received on Teachers' Day.

Hey angels, thanks for making my day extra special and thinking of me. Of course, I made all the angels who wanted to wish me Happy Teachers' Day look me in the eye and shake my hand firmly before they could pass me the gift/card. It's all about manners, isn't it?

The presents which I lugged home. Thanks dudes!

The cards. Being the sentimental person that I am, I keep my cards in a cardboard box stashed in my drawer. Amongst them I have appreciation, birthday, Teachers' Day cards, all kept since I was 17 years old. Cards are very intimate and special items to me and that's probably the reason I keep them. ;)

A very special note from a special angel. Thanks for the wonderful effort. You deserve a special mention here!

Lovely cupcakes made by N. They look most delectable and yes, the flowers are edible. Amazing right? My angels are way talented.

In spite of my flu, I managed to hit Comex 2007 on Sunday evening to hunt for a backup hard disk drive and a replacement HP laserjet cartridge (which is horrendously expensive).

Well, the eager crowd was more orderly than the one in March. Feeling a bit woozy, I snucked into the exhibition hall, grabbed the things I wanted and left in one piece. Of course, I didn't get to see many showgirls (not intending to anyway) but the sight of the litter within the premises irked me so much that I was whining and complaining about the lack of civc consciousness about Singaporeans.

Anyway, left the place to catch the movie Ratatouille. Well, I caught more than the movie there. Seems like the aircon was so cold, I caught the cold once again... :(
